How to save or plan content ideas in 3 steps

Use case 📝

A digital marketing agency detects search trends and content ideas with Keytrends. But the publications are not always for the same day, and sometimes they don’t have time to write them on the spot, so they save the ideas for later and if they have a date they schedule them. They do this in 3 ways.

Option 1. Create and plan a content topic from the AI Content Assistant

The agency’s content team already has a very clear idea for a piece of content, so in the AI Content Assistant they enter the data to start saving the idea:

But these are only the basic data, then it is necessary to generate the briefing, where you can indicate a deadline, the responsible editor and some indications. Once saved, the planned topic will appear in the Publishers Panel:

Option 2. Plan a content idea from your opportunity and trend lists

From both your Growing and Top Keywords listings from Trends Opportunities and Realtime Trends you can choose an idea and from the “Create content” button jump directly to create the SEO briefing.

⤴️ Just the same as in the screenshot above. The keyword data will already be filled in, so you just have to fill in the missing information and hit save. Again, you will see it planned in the Publishers Panel.

Option 3. Schedule an idea from the Publishers Panel

When you discover an interesting topic for your strategy you can either schedule it on the spot as we have seen or save the keyword for later (with the “Save keyword,” button in the listings), as they have done in this agency.

That keyword then goes to the Publishers Panel, so when you have the time, you can see your pending topics to plan and do it by clicking on “Create briefing”. A window will open with a space for your brief and a date selector for the deadline.

Frequently asked questions about saving and planning ideas in Keytrends

If your question does not appear, you can leave it in comments so that we can solve it for you and include it in this list (you can also write to us). Thank you!

I have saved a keyword for later from a listing, but I am no longer interested in it, can I delete it?

Yes, to do this you don’t have to go back to the keyword listings but go to the Publishers Panel, because that’s where they are stored. Select the word and click on the bin icon to delete it, and it will disappear.

Can I make changes to the briefing or delivery date once content has been planned?

You can do it from the Publishers Panel by clicking on the keyword of the planned content or from the list of keywords where you found the idea by clicking on the “Edit content” button.
